There are two kinds of rune meanings. Exoteric (physical) and esoteric (spiritual).

Each rune has several creative energies attached to it. Each rune energy is usually designated by a runic keyword.
The best way to use the Universal Creative Energies of the runes is to pick one runic keyword energy at a time to work on.

Example:
RUNE FA, has several runic keywrods. But if you want to attract more money into your life now, then chose money for your rune meditations, rune magic and rune yoga practices.
By bringing your mental powers into your rune practices you add power to them. You use your mental powers when you specifically and consciously chose just one runic keyword to concentrate on. It is better than the shotgun method of just meditating on the full spectrum of runic energies.
Rune Energies vs Rune Meanings:
What is a rune meaning? It is words.
What is a Rune? It is a creative energy of the universe.
To truly use the runes we must understand their runic energy structures which are non-verbal.
What is the meaning of a river? I dont know. What I do know is that a river is a stream of flowing energy that performs many important functions.
What is the meaning of electricity? I don't know. But it is an energy that can be harnessed to perform many important functions.
What are Runes? I do know. They are keys to the Creative Energies of the Universe. They are small packets of energy inside what the Quantum scientists call the Quantum Ocean. This is what our ancestors called the Mind of God, The Grand Architecht of the Universe, the Cosmic All, the Prime Mover.
We need to update this ancient runic language into 21st century language. We need to update the Runes into practical 21st century uses. I am doing that.
RUNIC ABSTRACTIONS
To understand the thousands of words written about the Runes, we must understand the idea of Runic Abstracting. The concept of Abstraction was first introduced to the world by Lord Alfred Korzybski, a 1940's Polish Mathematician. He was the father and founder of the science of General Semantics.
ODIN THE REDISCOVERER OF THE RUNES
Odin, the All-father of the the Northern pantheon of Gods/Goddesses rediscovered the Runes. He abstracted them from a higher source. He brought them out of the Quantum Ocean.
Lets focus on where Rune Meanings come from. Take this little mental trip with me. Runes are primal creative energies existing in the Quantum Ocean (the Mind of God) They always existed and always will exist. It is one of the laws of Quantum Physics.
Odin hung upside down on the Yagdrasil tree for nine days till he finally opened the doors of the Quantum Ocean. (Mind of God)
He screamed reached in and pulled out first hand knowlege of the runes. This was a second level of abstraction. The first level being the non-verbal Quantum Ocean reality world of the rune energies themselves.
Odin shared what he had found with others. The gods/goddesses of the North. They shared it, on and on and on.
Down through the past 1000 years of modern day Runes we can't count the number of writers who have given us their rune abstractions. (Mine included).
Levels of Abstraction:
First Level Abstraction----- Energy Realm of Quantum Ocean
Second Level Abstraction ----- Odin's rediscovery
Third Level Abstraction----- Gods/Goddesses
Fourth Level Abstraction----- First written book
Fifth through Infinity ----- Every other writer of a rune book
Have you ever played the game "telephone" at a party. You sit in a circle and you pass some information around the circle. By the time it gets back to you. WOW is that what you said? I am not trying to discredit any of the marvelous rune writers. I am trying to answer the two main questions that I need answered.
How can I use the runes to bring health, wealth and happiness into my life NOW? And what are the runes?
ANSWER
By understanding that they are Unversal Creative Energies and use them as such.
